Better Than New was formed in 1998 by Dan Oldejans in a small apartment in Scottsdale, AZ. It began with a few hundred dollars, a briefcase, and a couple of hand” tools. Since then, Better Than New has grown into a full-service refinish and custom furniture repair shop in Arizona. Our client list includes such retailers as Ethan Allen and Copenhagen Imports, as well as top designers across the country. In 2009, we starred in a full season of HGTV’s “Beyond Repair” and received national news coverage. Owner Dan Oldejans received a BA in Studio Art from Arizona State University. With an education in fine arts, we have set ourselves apart from others using innovative techniques outside of the typical restoration industry. We set ourselves apart from others through our strong arts background and unique approach to furniture and cabinetry. We use a huge network of colleges and professionals to find new and creative techniques to achieve our unsurpassed results.
